APPG Indian Traditional Sciences annual Colloquium on Ayurveda Day at the Palace of Westminster. There has been a spurt in spurious Ayurveda drugs since the Indian government eased regulatory mechanisms, raising questions on their efficacy and safety. The Modi government had announced that it would create a body to regulate the quality and standard of Ayurveda drugs with immediate effect. The Lord Patel, Ruth Cadbury MP, The Lord Shipley, Virendra Sharma MP and The Lord Newby and Rt Hon Tom Brake were present amongst over 200 Ayurveda medicine practitioners.
