Amarjeet S Bhamra with The Rt Hon the Lord Dholakia OBE DL, Caroline Nokes MP Minister for Welfare Delivery, The Lord Rana, The Rt Hon Tom Brake MP, The Lord Suri, The Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP South East and Shadow Minister for Europe, The Lord Loomba, Virendra Sharma MP, The Lord Hussain, Adam Afriyie MP, Rob Marris MP, led a special celebration to mark the 350th holy birth anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh in Palace of Westminster amidst  a gathering of community and faith leaders. The parliamentarians and speakers praised the life of Guru Gobind Singh and his embodied values that help define India and her aspirations as well as the world today. Gobind Singh. In fact, his life of sacrifice and fortitude is an epic without many parallels in the world. The valiant history of the Sikh Gurus and the martyrs who shed their blood and laid down their precious lives as a great sacrifice at the altar of India is written in golden letters in the annals of history of the world.

Messages from HM The Queen, Lord Bourne – Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department for Communities and Local Government, Nitish Kumar – Bihar Chief Minister were read by Amarjeet S Bhamra. Counsellor D P Singh from the Indian High Commission in London was also present.
